Thermoset Composite Recycling
Wenzhou Jintong is committed to sustainable manufacturing. We employ multiple recycling pathways for thermoset composite waste generated during production, aligned with our environmental management objectives.
Recycling Methods:
| Method | Process Description | Recycled Output | Application |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chemical Recycling | Pyrolysis, alcoholysis, or hydrolysis to decompose the resin matrix | Pyrolysis gas, pyrolysis oil, CaCO₃, recovered glass fiber | Fuel, composite fillers |
| Physical Recycling | Mechanical grinding and pulverization of cured composite waste | Fine powder | Composite fillers, roadbed materials |
| Energy Recovery | Controlled incineration with energy capture | Heat energy, CaCO₃, glass fiber residue | Cement raw material, thermal energy |
Thermoplastic vs. Thermoset: Why Recycling Approaches Differ
Thermoplastics: Linear polymer chains with weak intermolecular bonds. Can be repeatedly melted and remolded, enabling straightforward mechanical recycling.
Thermosets: Network polymers with a high level of cross-linking and strong chemical bonds. Once cured, the material cannot be re-melted. This irreversible cross-linking requires specialized recycling methods as described above.
Wenzhou Jintong manages industrial waste in accordance with Chinese national standards (GB 5085.3-2007). Production waste is classified, collected, and transferred to qualified third-party facilities for appropriate treatment and resource recovery.
